    Kitchen Appliances

Around the average kitchen, there will be at least a few products being used that belong to one of our product lines. Whether it be heating an appliance or filtering in an espresso machine, we help get meals and drinks prepared at home.

Below is a list of our product lines catering to this industry, and the applications of our products to the kitchen industry.

    Product Lines

    Well Screen Wire

    Knitted Wire Mesh

Wire filter mesh made from individual wires that are interlaced, or knitted, together. Loops are strategically woven to be able to move and stretch, with flexibility and durability to handle harsh applications.

    Resistance Wire

Resistance wire is designed specifically for high temperature applications, offering resistance tolerances per the American Wire Gauge. Available in sizes from 0.001” to 0.0808” with tempers ranging from annealed to full hard.

    Spring Wire

Corrosion resistant spring wire comes in stainless steel and nickel alloys, boasting excellent coiling ability at high speeds needed no additional lubricant. Manufactured in sizes from 0.022” to 0.625”.

The heating, coiling and filtering capabilities of our product lines offer a variety of applications within a home kitchen. Our products are reliable to give you the peace of mind of trusting your appliances to continue to perform consistently.

Let’s take a look at the applications of our products in the kitchen industry.

    Product Applications

    Electric Ovens

Specifically nichrome wire alloys are used commonly in ovens as resistance wire, as they possess the highest heat resistance. It can handle all heating temperatures, but also needs to withstand the temperatures reached on oven self-cleaning settings. Spring wire is also present in electric oven doors, to ensure they remain tightly shut, keeping heat in during cooking.

    Beverage Filtration

In more complex espresso and coffee brewing machines, knitted wire mesh is required inside to achieve filtration. Filtering heated beans or coffee ground requires sturdy mesh that can produce a clear liquid with no remanence of solids. Resistance wire is also commonly used within these machines as they may need to reach as high as 200°F internally.

    Dishwashers

Dishwashers when in operation get very warm as well and require resistance wire that can handle the temperatures. They do not have the same heat requirements as ovens, so other alloys can be used. Spring wire is present in dishwasher door mechanisms, ensuring they are tightly closed to avoid leaking or malfunction.

    Toasters

Resistance wire is used in toasters to handle the high temperatures in operation. Many alloys can be used as it gets far less hot than an electric oven. Spring wire is included in toasters to pop food out when it is ready, due to its excellent coiling ability. Many spring wire alloys are also heat resistant, allowing for use in this application.
